Add Stock

The Stock Symbol Lookup input box is used for stock search by entering a stock symbol or part of the company name. Click the input box and enter a search string. Search results are shown in a drop-down display as each character of your search string is entered. The Backspace and cursor keys can be used within the input box to delete and reposition the input cursor. To select a stock in the drop-down display, use the up and down cursor keys to navigate the list and the Enter key to select, or alternatively, use the mouse to directly click the stock you wish to add. To clear the input search string, hit the Esc key which also collapses the drop-down display area. To exit the input box, mouse click outside the input box.

The 'Order Portfolios or Stocks' area is used to arrange the order of your portfolio list or stock list. Click the 'Order Portfolios' button to order portfolios. Select a portfolio using mouse-click in the 'Select Portfolio' area to bring up the portfolio's list of stocks. Then click the 'Order Stocks' button to order the stocks. Use the mouse to drag-and-drop the entries in the 'Order Portfolios'/'Order Stocks' area.

Portfolios can be added and deleted by entering the name in the respective 'Add Portfolio' and 'Delete Portfolio' input boxes, followed by hitting the Enter key. Portfolios can be renamed by first selecting a portfolio, then entering the name change in the 'Rename Portfolio' input box. Portfolio names are case-insensitive. To clear the input box content, hit the Esc key while he input cursor is in the input box.
